Teacher-in-Service Week

Life happens. It's part of homeschooling. Last week we discovered we had condensation between the batt insulation and our roof. Had to tear the entire thing out and spray foam the whole ceiling. Left me with a huge mess! So ... it's educational TV, a game or two and a craft or experiment for the week. Oh! and we've learned about the Wolf Moon. That's the name for the first full moon of the year.

Color Experiments

The latest Steve Spangler science box is all about colors. Here we are exploring making a paper towel rainbow. Earlier this week we made lava in our test tubes and colorful exploding volcanos!

Isaac Hills Home Learning Center

Isaac Hills Home Learning Center has been the official name of my little school for many years. Isaac means "laughter". It is the name God gave to Abraham and Sarah's child because she laughed when she heard the news thinking that can't possibly be. I did the same thing when God told me He wanted me to teach other people's kids. Hills is pretty much a dream of mine. I would love to live somewhere with rolling hills. Someday ... in Heaven if not before.  This blog will be where I post things that more than one child is participating in so I don't have to post again and again. It too is not searchable on the web and comments are moderated so they may not show up right away.  Enjoy!
